    All my electronic copies of my thesis itself were unfortunately lost in an unrecoverable disc failure at MIT in the summer of 2003. MIT has been scanning in their thesis archive, and I recently got this PDF copy of my thesis. Also, most of the material in the thesis can be read in the following two Astrophysical Journal articles:
